Google maps has launched a new community feed in the explore tab that feature reviews, photos, posts,and articles, with an option to follow user such as local experts, and give a thumbs up to posts users like.
The community Feeds feature laid upon the contribution of several users submitting reviews, photos, ratings, recommandations, and more on Google Maps accessed by people to explore local areas.

How useful the Community Feed is will depend heavily on where you live. If you're in a major city with tons of Google users consistently offering recommendations, it'll be a game-changer. If you're like me, and you live in a smaller city, it's all but useless.
To access the community feed, Android or iPhone users have to simply go on the Google Maps app, tap on Explore and swipe up to view recommendations.
